A manifesto to improve public health

The Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (FSEM) UK has released a manifesto titled Making the physically active choice calling on politicians, policy makers and the next government to priorities physical activity  to improve public health.

The president of the FCSEM said: “Our manifesto sets out eight essential priorities to put physical activity at the core of our healthcare system, in order to provide a sustainable solution to improve public health and the pressures facing the NHS.
The manifesto calls are to utilise physical activity as part of a national preventative strategy, reduce barriers to physical activity in the community, make the physically active choice the easy choice and try and increase physical activity in workplaces, schools and elderly people.
